Four-member team visits Dharchula to investigate the Nepalese citizen who washed away in Kali river in Pithoragarh

Pithoragarh, New Delhi,4th August. A four members investigation team of home ministry of Nepal, led by nepal home ministry officer Janardan Gautam, reached Darchula and started investigation of July 30 incident occurred at Gasku border alone river Kali in where a Nepalese citizen fell into river Kali while crossing the border illegally using tuin (Make shift ropeway ) wire. The Nepalese media and communist party has alleged that Indian border force SSB had cut the wire while the Nepalese citizen was in between of his crossing over to Indian territory.
“The four-member fact finding team of the incident today met Nepalese administrative officers of Darchula district and Nepalese press and asserted that it will meet the keys witnesses of the incident, visit the spot to find out truth of the incident. “said Padam Baral a Nepalese journalist and editor of Darchula Sandesh daily.
According to Baral, the investigation include giving relief to family of victim.
The Indian administrative officer said that they have no information about any investigation team reached from Nepal as they have not been informed by any one officially “the man was crossing over to Indian territory illegally and might have fell into river before our patrolling team reached there, the SSB has neither seen the man nor any sign of tuin wire there when it reached the spot. “said MP Singh, the SSB commandant.
Dharchula SDM, Raj Kumar Shukla, has said that the Indian administration has not been informed by Nepalese counterparts on arrival of such team.” We do not have any such information yet. “said the SDM.
According to Indian journalists based in Dharchula the smooth way to reach the Gasku border is from Indian territory as Nepal has not so far constructed roads in that area. “If the team actually wants to visit to the incident spot at Gasku it will have to cross over to India from Dharchula border bridge, but still it has not informed Indian officers on the intentions of visiting the spot. “said Shalu Datal, the Indian journalist.
The Nepalese sources have said that the team has already talked to the Nepalese personnel’s of Armed police of Nepal, deputed by Nepal government at Nepal India border, and it seems there no need to visit the spot. “the team has already talked to 3 police personnel’s of Nepal Armed police and has collected the basic information, “said Bira Bhatt, another Nepalese journalist
