New Delhi, 29th June. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Communications, Railways, Electronics & IT, and Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State for Communications, launched ‘Dak Karmayogi,’ an e-learning portal of the Department of Posts, at a function held at Stein Auditorium, Indian Habitat Centre on Tuesday (28-06-2022).

This portal has been created ‘in-house’ under the vision of ‘Mission Karmayogi,’ which was conceptualized by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the goal of increasing the efficiency of all Government of India employees and transforming bureaucracy efficiency with ‘Minimum Government’ and ‘Maximum Governance.’

The ‘Dak Karmayogi’ portal will improve the competencies of approximately 4 lakh Gramin Dak Sevaks and Departmental employees by allowing trainees to access uniform standardized training content online or in blended campus mode, allowing them to effectively deliver a variety of G2C services for improved customer satisfaction.

After passing the final summative assessment, a system-generated course completion certificate will be automatically emailed to the trainee’s registered email address.

Trainees can provide feedback, ratings, and suggestions for each video and other learning content to ensure necessary enrichment.

The Department of Posts provides training to its employees through a network of 10 Postal Training Centres/Regional Training Centres and the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai National Postal Academy (RAKNPA), a Central Training Institute.

However, with the launch of this portal, Departmental employees and Gramin Dak Sevaks will be able to access training ‘Anytime, Anywhere’ and improve their Attitude, Skill, and Knowledge (ASK) as needed.

The portal is expected to go a long way toward enabling better service delivery by upgrading employees and Gramin Dak Sevaks.

During the event, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Communications, and Electronics and Information Technology, and Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State for Communications, conferred Meghdoot Awards in eight different categories to recognize and motivate employees of the Department of Posts.

The Meghdoot Award was established in 1984. This is the Department of Posts’ highest award at the national level for overall performance and excellence. This award is given in eight different categories. Medallions, certificates, and cash awards of Rs. 21,000/- are presented to awardees.
