Gujarat CM Encourages Sustainable Farming and Education During Village Visit

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, during a visit to Jalotra village in Banaskantha district, emphasized the importance of drip irrigation, organic farming, and education while urging residents to steer clear of addiction. This initiative was part of the ruling BJP’s ‘Gaon Chalo’ campaign, aimed at holistic rural development.

Commencing the campaign with prayers at a local temple, CM Patel actively participated in a cleanliness drive, underscoring the importance of community engagement in fostering a cleaner environment.

Addressing the gathering, Patel expressed confidence in the BJP government’s unwavering commitment to fulfill pending projects, emphasizing the pivotal role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in realizing the vision of a ‘developed Gujarat within a developed India.’

During his stay, CM Patel shared a meal with the family of local leader Dineshbhai Bhatola, fostering camaraderie and solidarity within the community.

With an eye on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyan’ seeks to fortify all party booths across Gujarat. Over 56,700 party workers, including ministers and MLAs, have been deployed to various booths during the campaign period from February 10-11.

Engaging with diverse demographics, CM Patel interacted with farmers, youth, women, and community leaders, highlighting government schemes and initiatives. He emphasized the importance of sustainable agriculture practices like drip irrigation and organic farming, urging youth to steer clear of addictive substances and prioritize education.

The farmers expressed gratitude for the sanctioning of ₹862 crore towards a water supply project benefiting 125 villages in the region, underscoring the government’s commitment to rural prosperity.

With the BJP’s resounding victory in all 26 Lok Sabha seats in 2019, initiatives like ‘Gaon Chalo’ exemplify the party’s dedication to grassroots development and empowerment.
