New Delhi, 10th April: Newly nominated Rajya Sabha member Harivansh Narayan Singh was administered the oath of office on Friday by C. P. Radhakrishnan, who also serves as Chairman of the Upper House.
The ceremony took place at Parliament House, where Harivansh took the oath in Hindi.
Several senior leaders and ministers were present on the occasion, including Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha Jagat Prakash Nadda.
Minister of State for Agriculture Ram Nath Thakur and Rajya Sabha Secretary General P. C. Mody, along with other senior officials, also attended the event.
Harivansh, who was recently nominated to the Upper House, continues to serve as the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, bringing extensive parliamentary experience to the role.
