Himachal: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Chairs the Cabinet Meeting in Shimla

Shimla, 24th Sep. In the meeting of the Himachal Pradesh cabinet, the Jai Ram government has decided to open classes from class IX to XII in all the schools of the state from September 27. This decision was taken in this meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

SOP i.e. guidelines will be issued by the Education Department for the students of classes IX to XII to sit in the class.

The cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur began at 10:30 am. 35 agendas have been included in this cabinet meeting. Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur and Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary were not present in the cabinet meeting.

Schools which were closed in March 2020 during the Corona period are being opened for students from IX to XII. Due to the closure of schools for the last one and a half years, the education of the children has been completely affected. Some parties said that despite running online education, the quality of education has not improved.

Students of classes 10th and 12th will attend schools on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays while students of classes 9th and 11th will attend schools on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Online classes and examinations will continue for students up to class VIII.

Many big decisions have been taken in the Himachal Pradesh cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. The cabinet meeting also approved the renaming of three important schemes. In the meeting, it was also decided to change the name of Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojna to Mukhyamantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna, Himachal Healthcare Yojana Himcare as Mukhyamantri Himachal Healthcare Yojana Himcare.

Approval was given to change the name of Sahara Yojana to Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana. At the same time, it has been decided to fill more than 50 new posts in the meeting.

Approval was accorded to open a new Ayurvedic Health Center at village Chiyal of Nasogi, village panchayat of Manali tehsil of Kullu district. In the meeting, approval was given to change the name of Forest Training Institute and Ranger College, Sundernagar to Himachal Pradesh Forest Academy.

In the meeting, approval was given to fill 20 posts of Naib Tehsildar in the Revenue Department through direct recruitment on a regular basis. To ensure the safety of passengers, a policy for replacement and maintenance of damaged crash barriers was also approved in the State. The cabinet decided to open a new section of Jal Shakti Department with creation and filling up of necessary posts at Baijnath in Kangra district. In the meeting, approval was given to upgrade Government High School Palchan, Jana and Shirad to Senior Secondary School and Government Secondary School Halan-1 in Manali area of Kullu district along with creation of 22 posts of different categories.

The cabinet has decided to create and fill 8000 posts of multipurpose workers in educational institutions under higher and elementary education departments as per the provisions of the Part Time Multi Task Workers Policy 2020.

In the meeting, it was decided to open new primary schools at Shililarji and Damsed in Saraj assembly constituency of district Mandi. It was also decided to upgrade Government Secondary School Shalagarh to Government High School and Government High School Dharot Dhar to Government Senior Secondary School in district Mandi.

The cabinet gave its approval to fill up 10 posts of different categories for smooth functioning of Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur. Approval was given to upgrade Sainj, a sub-tehsil of Kullu district, to a tehsil for the convenience of the people of the area.
