Historical achievement of 10 lakh OPD MP mobile health service: Anurag Thakur

Union Minister for Information Broadcasting and Sports and Youth Programs Anurag Singh Thakur organized the biggest medical camp of Himachal Pradesh till date in Dehra on completion of 10 lakh beneficiaries of “MP Mobile Health Service” in which 5312 people availed free health services.

Describing the historic achievement of 10 lakh OPD MP mobile health service, Anurag Singh Thakur has talked about continuing the work of public service through hospital service.

Rajya Sabha MP Sikandar Kumar, Dr. VK Paul ji of NITI Aayog, Dr. DS Rana, Chairman of Gangaram Hospital and more than 50 specialist doctors from across the country were present in this program.

Anurag Thakur also honored Dr. VK Paul and Dr. DS Rana Kok, Chairman, Gangaram Hospital, with the Health Service Excellence Award for their outstanding contribution in the field of health care.

On completion of 6 years of MP Mobile Health Service, with the personal efforts of Anurag Singh Thakur, artificial limbs were also provided free of cost to 20 disabled people of the area, which are based on pneumatic sockets which are worth lakhs. These prostheses are made from carbon fiber, which means they are lighter and more comfortable to wear, as well as stronger and durable. After fitting this artificial leg, the disabled person can walk, run, cycle, climb stairs and even dance. With the help of the artificial hand, the person can cook food, drive a vehicle and even lift things.

Anurag Thakur said, “Under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is going to become a medical hub for the world. People from many countries come to India for their treatment. The number of medical colleges in our country has increased from 384 to 700. To provide good health services to the people of my Hamirpur parliamentary constituency free of cost at their doorstep, I had started Sansad Mobile Health Service 6 years ago.

I feel happy and proud to say that the hospital service has reached out to 10 lakh people in such a short time and provided them with free health services. Hospital – On completion of 10 lakh OPD of MP Mobile Health Service, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the respected people of Devbhoomi, especially Hamirpur parliamentary constituency, for giving me such a big opportunity to serve and for showing immense faith in my big program related to public health. . It is very satisfying for me to have the privilege of operating in a hilly area, covering 8 lakh kilometers and being able to provide free health services to more than 10 lakh patients in more than 6400 villages and save them approximately Rs 50 crores. This work of public service will continue by reaching your homes through MP Mobile Health Service.

Speaking further, Anurag Thakur said, “On the occasion of becoming 10 lakh beneficiaries of hospital services, a historic event of Himachal’s largest free medical camp was organized today under Sansad Mobile Health Service at Ramlila Ground, Dehra. We called a team of more than 50 specialist doctors to treat the people in the camp, in which 5312 people took advantage of this free medical camp. Heart disease, kidney disease, cancer, bone related diseases, maternal and child check-up, treatment of weak eyes, ear, nose and throat check-up or dental problems, free check-up, treatment and medicine for all are provided in this medical camp. All 5312 people were given free medicines and 3463 people were also given free spectacles.

Anurag Thakur said, “I have always been trying to ensure that the people of my Hamirpur parliamentary constituency remain healthy. We launched Hospital Sansad Mobile Health Service in 2018 to ensure access to healthcare facilities to the last person in the area. Initially started with two mobile medical units, this program has today grown to 32 mobile medical units. Each mobile medical unit is equipped with an experienced team of doctors, nurses, lab technicians and MMU pilots who are capable of performing 40 different medical tests including KFT, LFT, Lipid Profile, Creatinine, Uric Acid, BUN, Sugar, Glucose, etc. are included. Apart from this, free medicines are also given to the patients. The biggest beneficiaries of this campaign are our women and senior citizens. 65% of the hospital’s beneficiaries are women. Hospitals have also provided new means of employment for women. Today 50% of its employees are women employees. Till now four mega eye camps have been organized in Hamirpur, Una and Bilaspur. Under the supervision of more than 100 doctors, 18,500 OPDs and more than 15,000 free spectacles have been provided.”

Addressing the people at the medical camp in Dehra, Anurag Thakur said, “Central University is being constructed in Dehra at a cost of Rs 500 crore which will boost the economy around it.

In the future, a medical college will also be built in the Central University, the zoo being built in Bankhandi will cost 90% of the Centre’s money, along with this the Dehra to Haripur road is ready worth Rs 10 crore from the Central Road Fund.
Besides, Dhaliara and Nandanala bridges are ready at a cost of crores of rupees. Here in Haripur, there is a hundreds of years old temple for the restoration of which we will spend Rs 1 crore.

Anurag Singh Thakur also inaugurated the post office building at Haripur, Guler of Dehra assembly of Hamirpur parliamentary constituency and dedicated it for public service.
