HM Amit Shah Expresses Grief Over Bus Accident in Dhar, MP

New Delhi, 18th July. Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed regret over a bus accident in Madhya Pradesh on Monday, and said the injured are being treated promptly by the local authority.

On Monday, at least 12 passengers were killed when their Maharashtra-bound bus crashed into the Narmada river in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district.

“The bus accident in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh is extremely saddening. I express my condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in this accident. The injured are being given prompt treatment by the local administration. I wish the injured a speedy recovery,” the Union Home Minister tweeted in Hindi.

The bus, run by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), was said to be carrying 30 to 32 passengers.

According to an official, it broke the railing of a bridge on the National Highway No. 3 (Agra-Mumbai Road) near Khalghat, which is close to the Dhar and Khargone borders, and then fell into the river.
