New Delhi, 12th June: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Friday expressed profound grief over the demise of legendary Indian shooter Jaspal Rana, describing his passing as an irreparable loss to the nation.
In a message posted on X, Shah paid tribute to Rana’s contribution to Indian shooting and his role in nurturing future generations of athletes.
“Deeply saddened by the demise of legendary sportsperson Jaspal Rana Ji. He dedicated his life to establishing India’s indomitable mettle in shooting by winning international honours for the nation and by nurturing young shooters as a coach,” the Home Minister said.
Shah noted that Rana’s achievements as a shooter and coach helped strengthen India’s standing in the sport at the international level. He said the veteran marksman devoted his life to bringing glory to the country and inspiring aspiring shooters through his guidance and mentorship.
Calling the loss irreparable, the Home Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to Rana’s family and millions of admirers across the country.
