Agartala, 14th June.Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has stated that he will be the BJP’s face in the Northeastern state’s assembly elections next year.

Mr Saha told a rally on Sunday night that the entire nation is watching the Town Bardowali assembly by poll, in which he is the candidate.

“I have not been appointed chief minister for three, six, or seven months… In the crucial assembly elections next year, I will be the BJP’s face. “I know what’s what,” he declared.

“We are not migratory birds that only land during elections.” Because I was born and raised in the Town Bardowali constituency, I am familiar with every resident.
“As a player, doctor, and professor, I have access to the entire constituency,” he added.

During the door-to-door campaign, Mr Saha said he witnessed people’s socioeconomic conditions. “It is a pleasant experience for me.” Mr Saha claimed that the entire nation was watching the by-election, and that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had won with 93% of the vote.

“I need to get close to that magical figure.” I’m literally running a race. If I win, it will be a victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President JP Nadda, he said.

Mr. Saha also discussed his first meeting with the Prime Minister following his appointment as Chief Minister.
“When I called Modi-ji for the first time as chief minister, he asked if I was sleeping well. I stated that you appointed me as party president, which I did not request… You elected me to the Rajya Sabha, and now I’m the Chief Minister! I’m not bothered by anything “He told the crowd.

Mr Saha, a Rajya Sabha MP, took over as state chief minister from Biplab Kumar Deb last month.

On June 23, by polls will be held in three additional seats, in addition to Town Bardowali. On June 26, the votes will be counted.
