IGNCA and Sansad TV Partner to Promote Indian Art and Culture

The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sansad TV. The agreement will facilitate the telecast of IGNCA-produced programs on Sansad TV, along with the utilization of IGNCA’s rich cultural archives by the television channel.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary of IGNCA, and Shri Rajat Punhani, Chief Executive Officer of Sansad TV. The event witnessed the presence of IGNCA Director Dr. Priyanka Mishra, heads of all IGNCA divisions, and senior officials including Joint Secretary (Administration) Shri Sumant Narayan and Editor Shri Shyam Kishore Sahay from Sansad TV.

Expressing his delight over the collaboration, Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi highlighted the importance of widespread dissemination of art and culture. He stated, “It is a matter of great happiness that this agreement has been reached between Sansad TV and IGNCA. Through this, we can collaborate on many programs. The glorious heritage of IGNCA will receive wide publicity through Sansad TV’s extensive broadcast reach.”

Rajat Punhani echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Sansad TV’s commitment to showcasing IGNCA’s programs to a diverse audience. He remarked, “Under this agreement, we will showcase IGNCA’s programs on Sansad TV and utilize IGNCA’s archive, thereby enriching our cultural offerings.”

Sumant Narayan underscored the significance of the partnership, describing it as a pivotal step towards promoting India’s cultural heritage through television. He commented, “This agreement between the two organizations is very important. It is a significant initiative towards showcasing our cultural heritage as much as possible.”

The collaboration between IGNCA and Sansad TV is expected to enhance public access to India’s artistic and cultural treasures, fostering greater appreciation and awareness among viewers nationwide.
