Hamirpur, 19th May. Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth & Sports, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur said that while women empowerment is on the top priorities of Bharatiya Janata Party, Indi Alliance prioritises nurturing and protecting those who commit crime against Nari Shakti.
Shri Anurag Thakur today participated in more than a dozen _Jan Sampark_ programs in Dharampur Mandal of Hamirpur Parliamentary Constituency. During this, while talking to media persons, he fiercely targeted Congress and the Indi alliance.
Shri Anurag Thakur said, “Respect for women and women empowerment are the priorities of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Modi ji implemented the historic Nari Shakti Vandan Act, which will provide 33% reservation to our mothers and sisters in the state Assemblies and Lok Sabha. Even before this, former Chief Minister of Himachal Shri Prem Kumar Dhumal ji had given 50% reservation to women in Panchayati Raj institutions. We have given 25% reservation to women in our organization also. Prime Minister Modi ji has called mothers and sisters the _Amrit Stambh_ of the country and has taken many steps for their empowerment in the last 10 years. We are people who believe in ‘women led development’ and not merely women development. But on the other hand, the Congress-led Indi Alliance works to nurture and protect those who harass and humiliate women every day. At the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence, in front of the Chief Minister, the Chief Minister’s associate kicks and punches a woman MP of his own party, but instead of taking action on this, the entire Indi Alliance including the Aam Aadmi Party is maintaining deafening silence. It is extremely shameful and unfortunate that in Delhi, where the Nirbhaya incident took place and strict rules and regulations were made against crimes against women, today the same people who make the rules and regulations are committing physical violence on their own women MP. The entire Indi alliance along with Arvind Kejriwal is silent on this issue today. The screams of the women of Sandeshkhali were also not reaching their ears. These people, who pretend to respect women, have been completely exposed in front of the public today. If these people cannot stand up against the atrocities committed against their own woman MP, then how will they stand up for the general public? “Indi alliance should tell what is their compulsion to protect those who commit atrocities against women?”
Shri Anurag Thakur further targeted the Indi alliance and said, “Even before the elections, this unethical alliance of corrupt people had already formed huge knots, but in the midst of the elections, their alliance has fallen apart like a house of cards. In Punjab, Congress is fighting separately, Aam Aadmi Party is fighting separately. In Bengal, Trinamool Congress is fighting separately, Congress is fighting separately. On the other hand, in Wayanad, left parties had opened a separate front against Rahul Gandhi. While in Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party and Congress members are tearing each other’s clothes, on the other hand, in Bengal, a senior Congress leader says that it is better to vote for BJP than voting for Trinamool Congress. In Delhi, the state Congress president and half the party resigned in protest against the alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party. Despite all this, these people are dreaming of forming a government. Their dreams will remain dreams.”
Shri Anurag Thakur further said that Congress has nothing to do with development, that is why their priority is appeasement and vote bank politics. Bomb blasts take place in Karnataka, Congress councilor’s daughter is brutally murdered by slitting her throat, slogans of Pakistan Zindabad are raised in the assembly. But instead of catching the accused persons and taking action against them, the ineffective Congress government there is engaged in appeasement politics. The thinking of such people about coming to power in the country is like Mungerilal’s dream because the people of the country will not allow them to form the government in India even in their dreams.
Anurag Thakur further said that as long as there is Bharatiya Janata Party, we will not allow reservation to be implemented on the basis of religion in India. Today, Congress people are using “deep fakes” to falsely propagate that Bharatiya Janata Party is anti-reservation and anti-constitution. But their own black book shows that the Congress Party amended the Constitution 62 times. In their state governments, reservation for SC, ST and OBC was cut and given to Muslims. They imposed an emergency in the country and changed the judgment of the Supreme Court in the Shah Bano case. Those who openly tore ordinances, without holding any post, are today giving sermons to us on democratic and constitutional values. Are Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi not even slightly ashamed of telling such lies? Why doesn’t Rahul Gandhi tell the public why his mentor Sam Pitroda talked about snatching away the property of Hindus and giving it to their vote bank? Why do Congress people keep showing love for Pakistan every now and then? Why does Congress want to eliminate nuclear weapons from India? If Congress cannot do anything in the interest of the country then why does it stand with those who are breaking the country? The country wants to know what their intentions are?”
