India-Japan to Undertake Joint Projects for Massive Digital Transformation in Eco-Friendly Mobility: Nitin Gadkari

New Delhi, 12th Jan. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced on Wednesday that India and Japan will work collaboratively on digital transformation projects in the areas of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and eco-friendly mobility.

Gadkari went on to say that the Indo-Pacific has always been at the heart of India’s engagement with Southeast and East Asian countries under the Act East Policy.

The minister met with a Japanese delegation led by Koichi Hagiuda and Japan’s ambassador to India, Hiroshi Suzuki, to reiterate India’s commitment to cooperation with Japan in the field of highway development, including the implementation of digital technology-enabled ITS services.
