India-Mauritius Ties Strengthened as PM Jugnauth Meets President Murmu

 President of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth paid a visit to President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.

During the meeting, President Murmu warmly reminisced about her successful state visit to Mauritius as the Chief Guest for the National Day celebrations in March earlier this year. She recalled her enriching interactions with the Mauritian leadership and people, highlighting the strong bonds between the two nations.

Emphasizing the significance of Mauritius as a vital maritime partner of India in the Indian Ocean Region, President Murmu reiterated India’s commitment to advancing the shared vision of peace, security, and growth in the region, in alignment with Vision SAGAR.

Both leaders expressed satisfaction at the remarkable progress achieved in various sectors of bilateral cooperation between India and Mauritius. They affirmed their mutual commitment to further enhancing the unique and multifaceted partnership between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples and the broader region.
