Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates Historic Digital Initiative, Strengthening Ties Between Nations

In a stride towards bolstering digital connectivity and financial inclusion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth, jointly inaugurated the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) services in Sri Lanka and Mauritius, and RuPay card services in Mauritius via video conferencing today.

Strengthening Financial Connectivity:
Prime Minister Jugnauth announced that the co-branded RuPay card will be designated as a domestic card in Mauritius, emphasizing the monumental importance of today’s launch in facilitating seamless transactions for citizens of both countries.

President Wickremesinghe commended the inauguration and extended congratulations to Prime Minister Modi on the consecration of Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
