The Union Health Ministry has unveiled a landmark initiative, the “Medical Care Arrangements for Haj Pilgrimage” document, marking a significant step towards institutionalizing robust healthcare services for Indian Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. This initiative, unveiled by Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra in collaboration with the Ministry of Minority Affairs, underscores India’s commitment to ensuring the health and safety of its citizens during the annual Haj pilgrimage, the world’s largest gathering event.

Comprehensive Healthcare Planning: The document outlines a strategic roadmap for healthcare services, emphasizing the placement of medical teams in Mecca and Medina.
