Jab Yogi Adityanath met Akhilesh Yadav in the Uttar Pradesh assembly?

Yogi Adityanath is the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, greeted Samajwadi Party chief and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Akhilesh Yadav in the Legislative Assembly on Monday, ahead of the oath-taking of newly-elected legislators.

As Akhilesh Yadav entered the legislative assembly, CM Yogi Adityanath greeted him with a handshake and a pat on the back. Both leaders smiled as they greeted each other.

The two leaders met in the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly prior to the swearing-in of the newly elected members of the 18th Uttar Pradesh Assembly.

Governor Anandiben Patel has nominated Suresh Kumar Khanna, Jai Pratap Singh, Ram Pal Verma, and Mata Prasad Pandey to administer the oath to the MLAs, in addition to pro tem Speaker Ramapati Shastri.

On Saturday, Shastri took the oath of office as pro tem speaker. The election of the speaker is set to take place on Tuesday.

Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as Chief Minister for a second term on March 25 at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana stadium in Lucknow, in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries.

Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak took their oaths.

Yogi’s team of 52 people includes 18 cabinet ministers, including two deputy chief ministers; 14 ministers of state with independent charge, and 20 ministers of state.
And all the while, traffic detours have been put in place for Monday and Tuesday due to the influx of new legislators to the Vidhan Sabha.
