Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Lashes Out Over BJP’s Ayodhya Defeat, Compares Non-Voters to ‘Manthara’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the oath of office on June 9, 2024 in a grand ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event, attended by dignitaries from India and abroad, included Jagadguru Rambhadracharya. Before attending the swearing-in ceremony, Ramabhadracharya commented on the recent defeat of the BJP candidate in Ayodhya, slamming those who did not vote for the party as descendants of ‘Manthara.’

Tulsi Peethadhishwar Swami Ramabhadracharya Maharaj expressed confidence in the strength and stability of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, stating it will run effectively for the next five years.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform even better,” he remarked.

Regarding the BJP’s loss in Ayodhya, he said, “Those who did not vote for the BJP candidate are like Manthara.”

He further predicted that the NDA government would be formed again for a fourth term.

In Ayodhya-Faizabad, the BJP’s two-term MP Lallu Singh was defeated by Samajwadi Party’s (SP) Awadhesh Prasad by 54,567 votes. This loss has elicited reactions from various leaders. On social media, people noted that despite significant development work by the BJP in Ayodhya, the party still faced defeat.
