Jammu and Kashmir police detain terrorist supporter carrying grenades and a handgun manufactured in Pakistan

Jammu and Kashmir, 21st April.A registered Over-Ground Worker (OGW), who works as a school principal, was taken into custody on Sunday from his Poonch district house in Jammu and Kashmir.

From his possession, security forces retrieved two Chinese grenades and a revolver made in Pakistan.

The Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police together conducted an operation to apprehend Qamaruddin, the arrested individual, from his residence in the Hari Budha area.

The weapons and ammunition were allegedly intended to disrupt the impending Lok Sabha elections in Poonch, according to the security services.

According to the Poonch police, the search is still ongoing in the region.

In the meantime, security personnel could be seen entering the home and conducting a search in a video that the news agency ANI posted on social media.

Five phases of the Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha elections are scheduled for April 19 and 26, May 7, 13, and 20.
