J&K Govt Provides Rs 5 Lakh Compensation to Families of Boat Tragedy Victims

The Jammu and Kashmir government has given a compensation of 5 lakh rupees to the families of the victims of the boat tragedy.

The Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, V K Bhiduri, and Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, Bilal Mohiuddin, visited Gandbal to meet the families of the victims who drowned in the Jhelum river. They provided a compensation of 5 lakh rupees to each victim’s family.

Out of the 19 people on the boat, six drowned, three are still missing, and ten were rescued.
