New Delhi, 5th May. The decision of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to field MP Brij Bhushan Saran’s son Karan from Kaiserganj in Uttar Pradesh was justified by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The former head of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), Brij Bhushan, is being investigated for allegedly harassing female wrestlers sexually.
Regarding Karan Singh’s BJP ticket from Kaiserganj, Sitharaman stated that there is little evidence to support the accusations made against Brij Bhushan.

“Brij Bhushan’s innocence has been established. There is still no proof for it. I would say that you want to assign the son the responsibility even if he is found guilty. Numerous parties have accommodated the children of convicted individuals,” she was reported by news agency ANI in Pune on Saturday.

“How many people are there whose fathers, mothers, or uncles have been accused of serious crimes, but they still have tickets?” Sitharaman asks in the meantime. Everyone participates in it. Tickets are issued even to the offspring of guilty individuals.”

“And nothing against Brij Bhushan has been established thus far. You may have questioned us why it had been. “How can we determine that he is doshi (guilty) on our own?” the minister told reporters on Saturday in Pune.

Sitharaman claimed that this was distorting the story when questioned about why the BJP did not offer Brij Bhushan, who is from Kaiserganj, the field. She was cited as adding, “We did not want to interfere with any due processes.”

On the’sex video’ case of Prajwal Revanna.

The Finance Minister also discussed the lewd video issue against Prajwal Revanna, the BJP’s nominee for the Lok Sabha and Hassan’s current MP. She claimed that the Karnataka government, which is led by the Congress, is handling the Revanna matter, but they failed to take any action on it for a full year.

“It is being claimed that the Congress have been sitting on the pen drive over the years, but now the BJP is made to answer because the party (JDS) is in alliance with us,” she stated.

“The contents of the pen drive were known to the state ministries. They did not believe that women’s security and safety should come first. They chose to keep quiet till the end of the Lok Sabha’s first phase because they believed they may lose the Vokkaligas’ vote. According to ANI, Sitharaman stated, “Now they are pushing it and making it a big issue, which is typical of Congress and shows their hypocrisy.”

She added that the Karnataka government is now writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the case, requesting that he issue lookout notices against Revanna and bring him back, in response to the BJP’s targeting of the state.

“The Karnataka administration has been instructed to take any and all action by the Indian Home Minister. It demonstrates Congress’s utter political hypocrisy,” the woman remarked.
