Bengaluru, 22nd May.
The Karnataka Police, investigating a high-profile rave party in Bengaluru that involved over 200 attendees and the seizure of narcotics, is now delving into the possibility of a sex racket operating alongside the drug supply chain.

Five individuals have been apprehended in connection with the case, prompting the police department to transfer the investigation from the Electronics City Police Station to the Narcotics Wing of the City Central Crime Branch (CCB).

According to the probe, the rave party commenced on Saturday evening (May 20) at the GM Farm House in Singena Agrahara, located on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Attendees, numbering over 200, reportedly joined the festivities, with some arriving on Sunday (May 21).

Sources have disclosed that each participant was charged ₹2 lakh for entry and instructed to assert that they were attending a birthday celebration. However, police sources have revealed strong suspicions that the organizers were also involved in running a sex racket alongside the drug distribution.

The meticulous planning of the event, coupled with the fulfillment of attendees’ demands, has raised concerns among law enforcement agencies. Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwara has reiterated the government’s commitment to making Karnataka a drug-free state and expressed zero tolerance for rave parties.

In a stern warning, he emphasized that students engaging in drug consumption and trafficking in Karnataka will be closely monitored and repatriated to their respective states.

Earlier reports indicated that the rave party, titled ‘Sunset to Sunrise Victory,’ attracted more than 100 participants, including professionals from the tech industry, Telugu actors, and other prominent individuals. Allegedly, substances such as MDMA, cocaine, hydro ganja, among others, were consumed by attendees during the event.
