Mumbai, 11th April.
Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress Party has announced its candidates for two crucial constituencies in Maharashtra. Dr. Shobha Dinesh Bachhav has been nominated for the Dhule seat, while Dr. Kalyan Kale will represent the party in Jalna.

Both candidates bring considerable political experience to the table, with Dr. Shobha Dinesh Bachhav having served as a former state minister and Dr. Kalyan Kale being a prominent leader within the state’s Congress unit.

With candidates confirmed for 15 out of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies allocated to the party, the Congress is strategically positioning itself in collaboration with its allies, the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar).

However, the party is yet to reveal its contenders for the two remaining seats in Mumbai, which have been allocated to it as part of the seat-sharing arrangement.

Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, the Congress Party has also finalized its candidates for six Lok Sabha constituencies and 12 Assembly seats.

Former Tirupati MP C Mohan will vie for the Lok Sabha seat once again, while K Raju has been nominated for the Nellore segment. Other candidates include P Satyanarayana Reddy (Visakhapatnam), V Venkatesh (Anakapalli), K Lavanya (Eluru), and G Alexander Sudhakar (Narsaraopeta).

This announcement comes shortly after the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition in Maharashtra disclosed its seat-sharing arrangement, with the Shiv Sena (UBT) set to contest 21 seats, the Congress 17 seats, and the NCP (SP) 10 seats. The agreement was reached following negotiations, with the Congress conceding the Sangli and Bhiwandi seats to its coalition partners.
