Karnataka, 22 June. The Karnataka Lokayukta has received a complaint from singer Maqsood M Ali, popularly known as Lucky Ali, accusing her husband, brother-in-law, and Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer Rohini Sindhuri of stealing land.

On Thursday, the singer used his X Twitter to confirm the news.

In Ali’s opinion, Sindhuri, her husband, and her ‘political’ brother-in-law have unlawfully encroached onto land by using funds and State apparatus.

Ali has mentioned the purported land grab on previous occasions. He had tagged the Director General of Police, Karnataka, in a thread in December 2022, claiming that Sudhir Reddy and Madhu Reddy, members of the Bangalore land mafia, were illegally encroaching on his farm, which is a trust property, with Sindhuri’s assistance.

Notably, Indian Police Service (IPS) officer D Roopa Moudgil and Rohini Sindhuri are involved in another court dispute.

Sindhuri learned that Moudgil had leveled multiple accusations against her in Facebook posts on February 18 of last year. Moudgil allegedly accused Sindhuri of sharing her personal photos with other IAS officers in these posts.

The State administration decided to transfer both cops as a result of the two getting into a public altercation about this.

On February 21, Sindhuri sent Moudgil with a legal notice in which she sought ₹1 crore in damages for her mental anguish and loss of reputation, as well as an unqualified apology.

A criminal defamation action against Roopa was ordered to be started on March 24 by a Bengaluru court that was hearing Sindhuri’s private suit.

The High Court was then sued by Moudgil to have the same revoked. Moudgil filed an appeal with the supreme court, where the matter is still pending, after the Karnataka High Court denied her request on August 21.
