Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais Praises Jharkhand as God’s Finest Creation

Mumbai, 16th Nov. Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais on Wednesday praised Jharkhand as a magnificent creation of God.

He highlighted the state’s abundant nature, minerals, and art, and emphasized the government’s efforts to promote Jharkhand’s rich arts.

Governor Bais also mentioned the tribes in Jharkhand who worship trees and nature, and how their religious beliefs have contributed to the preservation of biodiversity.

Speaking at the State Formation Day program of Jharkhand, which was held for the first time at Maharashtra Raj Bhavan Mumbai, Governor Bais paid tribute to Shahid Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary.

He expressed his gratitude for having served as the Governor of Jharkhand before coming to Maharashtra. Governor Bais also mentioned that celebrating the Formation days of various states and Union Territories in all the Raj Bhavans across the country has strengthened unity and national integration.

As part of the program, a cultural showcase of Jharkhand’s folk dance and culture was presented by artists from the state.

During the event, Governor Bais honored the founder of Rudra Pratishthan and Jay Foundation, Dhanajay Singh, former MP Sanjeev Naik, and artists Srishtidhar Mahato and Lakhan Guriya, among others.

A video message from Jharkhand Governor C P Radhakrishnan and an audiovisual film on Jharkhand State were also shown.

The welcome address was delivered by Secretary to the Governor (Addl Charge) Shweta Singhal, and the vote of thanks was proposed by the Comptroller of the Governors Households Arun Anandkar.
