Maldives President Muizzu Holds Bilateral Talks with President Murmu

In a significant diplomatic engagement, President of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Muizzu held a bilateral meeting with President of India Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 10, 2024.

Warmly welcoming President Dr. Muizzu to Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Murmu conveyed her sincere greetings to the new government and the people of Maldives. She expressed confidence that Maldives, under the leadership of President Dr. Muizzu, will continue to progress and prosper.

During the meeting, both leaders acknowledged the longstanding and multifaceted ties between their respective countries. They emphasized the importance of various pillars of bilateral cooperation, including people-to-people linkages, capacity building, economic and trade relations, as well as development cooperation.

President Murmu expressed her optimism for the future of India-Maldives relations, hoping that the bond between the two nations will continue to strengthen in the years ahead.
