This pavilion, presented by the Ministry of Mines, is focused on the theme of Connecting Beyond Mining and offers visitors the chance to explore and learn about mines and minerals.

Over the past 10 days, approximately 35,000 people have visited the pavilion and gained insights into the important role of mining and minerals in our daily lives.

The pavilion has been visited by notable individuals such as Union Ministers, paralympian Deepa Malik, former hockey player Zafar Iqbal, Ashok Kumar, former cricketer Vijay Dahiya, Railway Board members, and senior bureaucrats.

The Ministry of Mines also organized a workshop on recycling for students in the mining pavilion, with over 2,000 students participating. These students showed great interest in understanding the significance of mines and minerals in our daily lives and took a pledge for environmental responsibility. Many people have also taken the pledge as Guardians of the Earth.

In the Kidz Zones Geological Survey of India (GSI) stall, children had the opportunity to observe dinosaur eggs and fossil models that have been buried for millions of years. Visitors also experienced the challenges and adventures of mining through simulators in the VR zone, giving them a sense of being thousands of feet underground to extract minerals.

The GSI stall also attracted visitors who tested their gems and stones. Visitors shared their experiences at the Mines Pavilion, which showcases various mines in the country.

The Ministry of Mines aims to provide information to the general public about the important role of minerals in our daily lives, from the ingredients in our food to the production of power, mobile phone batteries, and even medicines.

The display of minerals excavated from the Earth and Ocean has been a major attraction of the Pavilion, as well as the VR Zone, which provides a unique experience of underground mining and metallurgy.

The Ministry of Mines, along with major private sector mining companies, is showcasing knowledge and achievements related to mines and minerals through their respective stalls.

The Mining Pavilion, which is open from November 14 to 27, 2023, offers a unique opportunity to see different types of minerals and learn about them in detail.
