New Delhi, 6th March. NITI Aayog’s NITI For States platform will be introduced tomorrow morning at the Rang Bhawan auditorium in Akashvani, New Delhi, by Minister of Communications, Railways, Electronics, and Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw. A cross-sectoral knowledge platform called “NITI For States” aims to develop into a Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for policy and good governance. Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw will also open the “Viksit Bharat Strategy Room” at NITI Aayog prior to the platform’s launch. Rich visualization and interaction with insights, data, and knowledge will be made possible by the “Viksit Bharat Strategy Room,” facilitating efficient face-to-face decision-making.

A multi-sectoral live repository of 7,500 Best Practices, 5,000 Policy documents, 900+ datasets, 1,400 data profiles, and 350 NITI publications are just a few of the platform’s noteworthy features. Ten sectors—agriculture, education, energy, health, livelihoods and skills, manufacturing, MSME, tourism, urban areas, water resources, and WASH—as well as two overarching themes—gender and climate change—are covered by the knowledge products on the platform. The platform is accessible from a variety of devices, including mobile phones, and has an easy-to-use interface that makes navigation simple for users.

By providing government officials with comprehensive, contextually relevant, and actionable knowledge and insights, the “NITI For States” platform will aid in the digital transformation of governance and improve the caliber of decision-making. Additionally, by providing district collectors and block-level functionaries with access to cutting-edge best practices from other States and UTs, it will assist innovative level functionaries.

The “Viksit Bharat Strategy Room,” which is being inaugurated, is an interactive area where users can make a comprehensive assessment of any problem statement by visualizing data, trends, best practices, and policies in an immersive way. Additionally, it enables voice-activated AI for user interaction and video conferencing for multiple stakeholder connections. The model is intended to be plug-and-play, allowing states, districts, and blocks to replicate it.

This NITI Aayog initiative has involved collaboration from several government organizations. One of its features is the introduction of online training modules known as “SAMARTH” by iGOT Karmayogi, which the platform can access. Access to government data sets is now possible thanks to the integration of NITI Aayog’s National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP); development of the first-of-its-kind Viksit Bharat Strategy Room has received support from the National E-Governance Division (NeGD); and Bhashini has offered multilingual support. With DPIIT’s assistance, the PM Gatishakti BISAG-N team has also been integrated, offering the geographic tool for area-based planning.
