MP Elections: Congress Promises Rs 25 Lakh Health Insurance Cover, IPL Team of State

Bhopal, 17th Oct. Kamal Nath, the President of Madhya Pradesh Congress, unveiled the party’s manifesto for the upcoming state assembly elections on Tuesday.

The manifesto includes a range of promises such as providing a health insurance cover of Rs 25 lakh to all residents of Madhya Pradesh, reserving 27% of seats for Other Backward Classes (OBCs), and establishing an Indian Premier League (IPL) team for the state.

The opposition party’s manifesto, which spans 106 pages, outlines 59 promises targeting various sections of society, including farmers, women, and government employees.

During the manifesto release, Nath stated, “We will offer a health insurance cover of Rs 25 lakh, which includes an accidental cover of Rs 10 lakh, to all residents.”

He also confirmed the formation of an IPL team for Madhya Pradesh.

Additionally, Nath pledged to waive farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh, provide a monthly assistance of Rs 1,500 to women, offer LPG cylinders at Rs 500, make school education free, implement the Old Pension Scheme, and provide unemployment allowances ranging from Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000 per month for two years to the youth.

The state assembly elections, consisting of 230 seats, are scheduled for November 17.
