MP Government Approves Atal Path, 404 km Long Highway Will Connect UP, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, 6th Oct. The Madhya Pradesh Government has approved the 404 km long Atal Pragati Path (Highway) connecting Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. This highway will connect 3 states. State Home Minister Dr Narottam Mishra said that the Madhya Pradesh cabinet has approved the 404 km long Atal Path.

Narottam Mishra said that this highway will be prepared by the National Highways Authority of India (NHI). Approval has also been given to exchange private land with Government land for the construction of 313 km long Atal Pragati Path. The Government statement said that the government land to be given to the affected landowners would be twice the cost of private land. Similarly, twice the value of the acquired properties will be given to its owners.

Atal Pragati Highway has been included in the Bharatmala project by the Government of India. Under the project, free land is to be provided by the state for the construction of a four-lane road. The project covers a total of 1,300 hectares of private land, 1,523 hectares of government land and 270 hectares of forest land in all the three districts.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in the meeting that this highway will open the door for the development of Gwalior-Chambal region. Industrial areas will be developed on both sides of the road. A proposal for a residential project is also being prepared. Due to the increase in industrial activities, the youth of the region who go to other provinces for employment, will not go.

The government will guarantee a loan of Rs 50 crore for setting up a 30 ton per day milk powder plant in Indore Milk Union. This loan will have to be repaid in ten years and the guarantee fee will be borne by the Indore Co-operative Milk Union. This loan will be available from National Cooperative Development Corporation.
