MP Govt’s Proposal to Buy Soybean at MSP Approved: Shivraj Chouhan

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced the central government’s approval of Madhya Pradesh’s proposal to purchase soybean at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The move comes as a relief to the state’s farmers, who were concerned about the crop being sold below MSP.

Chouhan emphasized that the welfare of farmers is a top priority for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, adding that serving farmers is akin to worship.

Addressing concerns, he mentioned that states like Maharashtra and Karnataka had previously been allowed to purchase soybean at MSP, and the same benefit will now be extended to Madhya Pradesh.

In his message yesterday at 9 AM, Chouhan directed that soybean be bought at MSP. Following this, the Madhya Pradesh government’s proposal to purchase the crop at MSP was received by the central government. The proposal was swiftly approved the following morning.

Chouhan reassured farmers, stating, “The farmers of Madhya Pradesh should not worry; soybean will be bought at the MSP rates, and they will receive the full price for their hard work.”

This decision is expected to bring huge financial relief to soybean farmers in the state, ensuring they are adequately compensated for their efforts.
