Lucknow, 21st Feb.
After the fallout with Congress and the departure of Swami Prasad Maurya and Pallavi Patel, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav is now seeking new allies to secure victory for their third candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections.

In line with this, Akhilesh sent the party’s state president, Naresh Uttam Patel, to meet Raghuraj Pratap Singh ‘Raja Bhaiya’, the Janata Dal (Democratic) president and MLA from Kunda.

There, Naresh Uttam sought support for the Rajya Sabha elections and also discussed a possible alliance with the Samajwadi Party for the Lok Sabha elections. During their conversation, both leaders also shared a meal together.

While Raja mentioned his political journey with Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), he did not offer solid assurances regarding Uttam’s proposal.

Sources reveal that extensive discussions have taken place regarding a potential alliance between the Samajwadi Party and the Janata Dal (Democratic).

Akhilesh, signaling a new approach to improving political relations, has reached out to Raja, given the increased challenges for the Samajwadi Party in the Rajya Sabha elections following the reduction in SP legislators and Pallavi Patel’s discontent. Akhilesh hopes that Raja’s support, given his two MLAs from Kunda and Babaganj, could significantly reduce his challenges.
