No Disagreements Within Congress on Allocation of Tickets for Rajasthan Polls: Gehlot

GG News Bureau

Jaipur, 19th Oct. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stated on Thursday that there are no disagreements within Congress regarding the allocation of tickets for the Rajasthan polls.

He also expressed his desire to step down from his position, but acknowledged that the post seems to be holding onto him.

Gehlot also mentioned that the party high command has chosen him to lead the state three times, indicating that any decision made by the leadership in the future would be accepted by all.

Despite facing a rebellion led by Sachin Pilot in 2020, Gehlot stated that he has chosen to forgive and forget and move forward.

He strongly objected to the raids conducted by the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Department against opposition leaders, urging the Prime Minister and the Election Commission to intervene and put a stop to them, as the model code is currently in effect.

When asked about any internal disagreements within the party regarding the allocation of party tickets, Gehlot denied the existence of any differences and stated that all decisions are made unanimously.

The Rajasthan polls are scheduled for November 25, with vote counting taking place on December 3.
