Uttar Pradesh, 4th Feb. The Congress said on Sunday that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’s Uttar Pradesh itinerary will be shared with INDIA bloc members once it is finalized in a day or two, and they asserted that their participation would strengthen the alliance. This came a day after Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said he hasn’t received an invitation for the yatra. When asked on Saturday if he would join the yatra, Yadav had responded, “The issue is that a lot of significant events happen, but we don’t receive an invitation.” Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said, “The comprehensive itinerary and schedule of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh is being prepared and will be finalized in a day or two,” tagging a video on Yadav’s comments.

“It will then be distributed to the state’s INDIA bloc constituent parties. Their involvement in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will fortify the INDIA bloc even more. “On February 16, in the afternoon, the Yatra is anticipated to reach Uttar Pradesh,” Ramesh stated in a Hindi post.

Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) supporters, like the TMC, have been criticizing the Congress lately for carrying out the Yatra and sharing seats.

Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal and leader of the TMC, had refrained from attending the yatra during its stay in her state. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader and recently elected state chief minister, Champai Soren, took part in the Yatra on Friday as it entered the state. At the moment, the yatra is in Jharkhand.

The JMM falls under the INDIA category. The yatra will cover 6,713 km in 67 days, visiting 110 districts across 15 states, culminating on March 20 or 21 in Mumbai.
