Oak Grove school celebrates International Yoga Day with fervour and gaiety in Mussoorie

Oak Grove School, Jharipani celebrated seventh International Yoga Day today on a virtual platform with fervour and gaiety on Monday.
The theme of 7th International Yoga Day 2021 is “Yoga for Well Being”. The school invited students and teachers to perform Asanas to promote Yoga as a healthy way of life. It was a good opportunity to make students get into the habit of keeping themselves fit. The students were very excited to perform Asanas like tadasana, Vrikshasana, Padmasana, Pranayam, Pad Hastasana, Arduchakrasana, Trikonasana and Bhujangasana. On this occasion, all the students and teachers of the three wings of the school participated and performed different Asanas from their homes.
Speaking on the seventh International Yoga day Abhishek Kesarwani, Principal, Oak Grove School shared the importance and need of practising Yoga to stay fit and healthy. He said, “Yoga is a systematic and methodical process to control and develop the mind and body to attain good health, the balance of mind and self-realization. It is necessary for every individual to stay fit and healthy in this fast-paced world which is full of stress and anxiety. Kesarwani further added that the celebration of International Yoga Day is a reminder for all individuals to practise Yoga every day to enjoy a happy and blissful life and reduce the effect of stress and other physical ailments.”
Dr Sanjay Dube, Head Master, Oak Grove Boys’ School said “Yoga and meditation are India’s thousand years old therapy. It has been part of our life from age-old times. With the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it has acclaimed global recognition. It is a matter of great happiness and pride for us. Speaking on the occasion Kusum Kamboj, Head Mistress, Oak Grove Senior Girls’ School said that Yoga not only provides physical and mental relaxation but also develop strength.
Vinay Kumar Head Master, Oak Grove Junior School, Dr Prashant Singh ADMO, Oak Grove School, Dr Atul Kumar Saxena, Vipul Rawat, R.N Yadav, Anupam Singh Manisha Sharma, Archana Shankar, Santosh Kumar, S.K.Raza, Pratyesh Kumar, Shadab Alam, G.D Raturi, Pramod Kumar, Kiran Aswal, Abhishek Rawat and other faculty members of the school were present on the occasion.
