Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the “Viksit Bharat Viksit Gujarat” program virtually, showcasing the government’s relentless efforts towards nationwide development, with a particular focus on Gujarat.

During the event, PM Modi laid the foundation stone (Bhoomi Poojan) for over 1.3 lakh houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and other housing schemes, underscoring the government’s commitment to providing dignified housing for every citizen.

Interacting with beneficiaries of the Awas Yojana, PM Modi expressed joy at the widespread participation in Gujarat’s developmental journey. He commended the state’s successful organization of events like the Vibrant Gujarat summit, highlighting its pivotal role in attracting investments and fostering economic growth.

Emphasizing the significance of owning a home for the socio-economic well-being of the underprivileged, PM Modi hailed the completion of Bhoomi Poojan for 1.25 lakh additional homes as a testament to the government’s dedication to ensuring a brighter future for every Indian. He coined the term “Modi ki Guarantee” to signify the commitment to fulfilling promises made to the people.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi lauded the large-scale participation in the program across 180 locations in Gujarat, crediting the collective support for strengthening the government’s resolve. He highlighted initiatives like “Per Drop More Crop” and drip irrigation for transforming agricultural practices and boosting productivity in regions like Banaskantha, Mehsana, Ambaji, and Patan.

Reflecting on Gujarat’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential, PM Modi mentioned recent archaeological discoveries in Vadnagar and the burgeoning tourist attractions in North Gujarat. He likened the region’s transformation to that of the Statue of Unity, symbolizing progress and prosperity.

PM Modi acknowledged the success of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which engaged millions of people across villages in India, driving home the message of development and poverty eradication. He reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering youth, farmers, women, and the economically disadvantaged, emphasizing inclusive growth.

Highlighting the strides made in housing construction, PM Modi underscored the use of innovative technology to ensure quality and rapid completion of projects. He applauded the elimination of middlemen and direct transfer of funds to beneficiaries, enhancing transparency and efficiency in welfare schemes.

PM Modi reiterated the government’s focus on reducing the financial burden on the poor and middle-class through initiatives like free ration distribution, affordable healthcare, and subsidized utilities. He emphasized the potential of renewable energy, particularly rooftop solar schemes, to reduce electricity bills and generate additional income for households.

In conclusion, PM Modi affirmed Gujarat’s pivotal role in India’s industrial and economic landscape, applauding the state’s youth for their contribution to progress. Assuring continued support from the government, PM Modi reaffirmed his commitment to steering Gujarat and the nation towards greater heights of prosperity and development.
