PM Modi and Austrian President Discuss Strengthening Ties and Environmental Collaboration

Vienna, 11th July. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Alexander Van der Bellen, President of Austria, during his visit to Vienna.

President Van der Bellen extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Modi on his historic third term in office.

Prime Minister Modi remarked that his visit to Austria is particularly significant as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Austria. The leaders discussed a range of bilateral and global issues of mutual interest, with a particular focus on environmental sustainability and efforts to combat global warming.

In their discussions, both leaders explored mutually beneficial opportunities for collaboration in renewable energy sectors, including solar, hydro, and biofuels.

Prime Minister Modi reiterated an invitation for President Van der Bellen to visit India at his convenience, highlighting the strengthening ties and continued partnership between the two nations.
