New Delhi, 12th April.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi fired back at the opposition during a rally in Nagpur district, rebutting claims that the Constitution and democracy would be at risk if he secures a third term. Modi highlighted his government’s commitment to upholding the Constitution while accusing the opposition of fearmongering.

Addressing the crowd, PM Modi referenced the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that if the Constitution were truly under threat, such bold decisions would not have been possible. He invoked the legacy of BR Ambedkar, suggesting that the architect of the Indian Constitution would approve of his government’s actions.

“The Constitution is sacrosanct for our government. Even if Babasaheb Ambedkar himself were to return, he could not abolish the Constitution,” PM Modi declared, pushing back against allegations that his government posed a threat to democratic principles.

Modi slammed the Congress for its imposition of the Emergency in the past, accusing the party of attempting to undermine the Constitution. He highlighted the strides made in granting constitutional rights to marginalized communities in Jammu and Kashmir under his leadership, contrasting it with the Congress’s alleged neglect.

Responding to claims by the opposition that democracy would be jeopardized under his rule, PM Modi pointed to historical precedents such as the Emergency era. He urged voters to consider the progress achieved during his tenure and pledged continued dedication to the welfare and advancement of the nation.

With campaigning intensifying ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people and driving the country’s progress. He assured the public that his government’s agenda for the future would prioritize their aspirations and the nation’s development.
