New Delhi, 10th April: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed deep grief over the tragic boat capsize incident in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, which claimed several lives.

In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister said he was “deeply pained” by the loss of lives in the accident. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

“The local administration is assisting those affected,” the Prime Minister noted, assuring that all possible support is being provided on the ground.

The tragedy occurred earlier in the day in Mathura when a boat carrying tourists capsized in the Yamuna river near Vrindavan, leading to multiple casualties and triggering a large-scale rescue operation.

Teams from disaster response forces and local authorities have been deployed, with search operations continuing to trace missing persons.
