PM Modi Fondly Reminisces Haryana Memories During Mahendragarh Campaign

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while rallying for the BJP candidate in Mahendragarh, Haryana, took a nostalgic journey down memory lane, recounting his formative years spent in the state during his party organizational work.Addressing an enthusiastic crowd ahead of the sixth phase of elections, PM Modi expressed his deep-rooted connection to Haryana, referring to it as his “home” for several years. Reflecting on his stint as the state in-charge for the BJP in 1995, he recalled his close association with leaders like Manohar Lal Khattar and Ramesh Joshi, traversing the state to bolster party activities.

The Prime Minister fondly remembered the warmth of Haryana’s hospitality, mentioning iconic figures like Surja ‘halwai’ of Narnaul and the delectable treats from Mahendragarh. He humorously attributed the rise of diabetes in senior BJP leader Ram Bilas Sharma to the irresistible sweets of the region.

Highlighting the simplicity and richness of Haryanvi cuisine, PM Modi shared memories of relishing ‘rabri’ with ‘roti’ and onions, and even a hearty serving of ‘bajra khichdi’ dripping with ghee, a quintessential Haryanvi delight.

PM Modi praised Haryana’s contributions to the armed forces and sports arena, acknowledging the state’s prowess in producing talented athletes and soldiers.

Expressing gratitude for the enduring love and support from the people of Haryana, PM Modi vowed to continue striving for the state’s development. He appealed to the electorate to once again repose their faith in the BJP, assuring relentless efforts towards Haryana’s progress.

Remembering his bond with late Chaudhary Bansi Lal, PM Modi recalled their shared commitment to Bhiwani-Mahendragarh’s development, underlining Lal’s emotional reverence for Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
