PM Modi Hails Charaideo Maidam’s Addition to UNESCO World Heritage List

New Delhi, 27th July. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his happiness and pride following the inclusion of Assam’s Charaideo Maidam in the UNESCO World Heritage list. In a statement, PM Modi described this achievement as a significant moment of joy and national pride for India.

The Charaideo Maidam, known for its Moidams, represents the rich Ahom culture, which deeply honors its ancestors. In his response to UNESCO’s announcement on X, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of this recognition.

He stated, “A matter of immense joy and pride for India! The Moidams at Charaideo showcase the glorious Ahom culture, which places utmost reverence to ancestors. I hope more people learn about the great Ahom rule and culture. Glad that the Moidams join the #WorldHeritage List.”
