New Delhi, 12th April: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed deep grief over the passing of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, describing her as one of the most iconic and versatile voices India has ever known.
In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister highlighted her extraordinary musical journey spanning several decades, noting that her contribution enriched India’s cultural heritage and touched countless hearts across the world.
He said her voice carried “timeless brilliance,” whether through soulful melodies or vibrant compositions, and added that he would always cherish his interactions with the legendary singer.
Modi extended his heartfelt condolences to her family, admirers, and music lovers, stating that her legacy would continue to inspire generations.
“Asha Bhosle Ji will continue to inspire generations and her songs will forever echo in people’s lives,” he said.
Asha Bhosle, one of India’s most celebrated playback singers, passed away earlier in the day at the age of 92, marking the end of an era in Indian music.
