New Delhi, 15th Oct. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the noted scientist and former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary on Sunday.

PM Modi expressed that Kalam’s exceptional contribution to nation-building will always be remembered with great respect.

In a post on X, PM Modi highlighted Kalam’s humble demeanor and extraordinary scientific talent, which made him beloved by the people.

Kalam, one of India’s leading scientists, authored several bestselling books and was widely popular, particularly among the younger generation, as he frequently engaged with them throughout the country.

Serving as India’s president from 2002 to 2007, Kalam earned bipartisan admiration for his conduct.

He was affectionately known as the “People’s President” because his responsibilities as the highest authority did not diminish his enthusiasm for meeting ordinary people, especially students.

This habit persisted even after his tenure ended. Kalam was born in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, in 1931 and passed away in 2015.
