New Delhi, 11th April: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid rich tributes to Jyotirao Phule on his birth anniversary, describing him as a visionary reformer who dedicated his life to equality, justice, and education.

Marking the commencement of the 200th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Phule, the Prime Minister highlighted his pioneering role in championing the rights of women and marginalised communities.

In a series of posts on social media, Modi said Phule’s efforts made education a powerful tool for empowerment and social transformation. He noted that the reformer’s ideals continue to inspire generations and remain highly relevant in today’s society.

The Prime Minister also shared his thoughts in an article, emphasising that Phule’s vision serves as a guiding light for building an inclusive and progressive society.

He expressed hope that Mahatma Phule’s teachings would continue to guide people in the pursuit of social justice and national development.
