PM Modi to Inaugurate First Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14

Enthusiasm among NRIs regarding the mandir

There is enthusiasm among the expatriate Hindus as well as the local people about the construction of the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and its inauguration by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. The temple will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on February 14. Prime Minister Modi will speak at an NRI public program at the nearby stadium following the inauguration. On February 10, the ceremonies leading up to the temple’s consecration began. This 27-acre temple was constructed at a cost of nearly Rs 900 crore.  Resident of Bochasan Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) built the temple.

 

 

Sanatan Mandir in Abu Dhabi will be a fusion of many cultures, which will work to closely connect Bharat and the Arabian Sea coast civilization, according to Dr. Sahitya Chaturvedi, a chartered accountant and convenor of the Indian Trade and Enterprise Council, based in Dubai. It is very admirable that the UAE government fully supports the mandir complex, from donating land to laying the cornerstone and building the shikhara. This magnificent mandir is built using antiquated techniques. It is, in actuality, this mandir is an emblem of human civilization, inspiring people everywhere to feel like members of one big family. Numerous events will take place until February 20th following Pran Pratistha. The mandir has 108 yagya kund built in it.

Dr. Chaturvedi further informed that, Prime Minister Modi will be inaugurated the mandir on February 14th. Major contributors who assisted with the mandir’s construction have also been invited. Prime Minister Modi will speak to the Bharatiya community at the Abu Dhabi stadium following the consecration. There is seating for 50,000 people in this stadium. With the national anthems of both nations playing, 180 students from the UAE and Bharat will greet Modi on this special day. After that, on February 18th, the mandir in the United Arab Emirates will be accessible to the public.

Dhairya Narayan Jha, an Indian engineer associated with the steel industry in Dubai, remarked on the building of the first Hindu mandir in Abu Dhabi, saying that everyone is delighted with its completion. Apart from the NRIs, this mandir will draw in a lot of tourists.

 

The diversity and inclusivity of the UAE are further highlighted by the construction of this mandir. Bharat excels at finding unity amidst diversity as well. The fact that Bharat and the UAE share similar values makes us proud. It is a pleasant and a proud moment that a Hindu mandir is being constructed in the UAE, thanks to teamwork. Dubai exemplifies the peaceful coexistence of individuals from diverse religious backgrounds.
