PM Modi to Unveil Mega Projects Across Five States on March 4-6

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a multi-state tour from March 4th to March 6th, 2024, covering Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar.

The visit is slated to witness the inauguration, dedication, and laying of foundation stones for a slew of development projects collectively worth over Rs. 56,000 crores.

March 4th Highlights:

• Adilabad, Telangana:
 Prime Minister Modi will kick off the tour by unveiling multiple developmental projects in Adilabad, Telangana, at approximately 10:30 AM. The projects, focusing primarily on the power sector, amount to a staggering Rs. 56,000 crores. Among the highlights, he will dedicate NTPC’s 800 MW (Unit-2) of Telangana Super Thermal Power Project in Peddapalli, marking a significant stride in power generation efficiency.

• BHUVINI, Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu: Later in the day, around 3:30 PM, PM Modi will visit BHUVINI in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu, to witness the initiation of core loading for India’s indigenous Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) of 500 MWe capacity. This milestone marks a crucial phase in India’s nuclear power program, showcasing the nation’s commitment to self-reliance in fuel supply for future fast reactors.

March 5th Highlights:

• Sangareddy, Telangana: On the 5th of March, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs. 6,800 crores in Sangareddy, Telangana. These projects span key sectors like road, rail, petroleum, and natural gas, contributing significantly to the region’s infrastructural growth.

• Chandikhole, Jajpur, Odisha: Subsequently, around 3:30 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs. 19,600 crores in Chandikhole, Jajpur, Odisha. These projects encompass sectors such as Oil & Gas, Railways, Road, Transport & Highways, and Atomic Energy, furthering the state’s socio-economic progress.

March 6th Highlights:

• Kolkata, West Bengal: Commencing at around 10:15 AM, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for connectivity projects worth Rs. 15,400 crores in Kolkata, West Bengal. The focus will be on enhancing urban mobility, including the inauguration of Kolkata Metro sections and the Agra Metro’s stretch, among other crucial infrastructure initiatives.

• Bettiah, Bihar: Wrapping up the tour, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone, dedicate, and inaugurate various infrastructure-related projects in Bettiah, West Champaran district, Bihar. With projects totaling around Rs. 12,800 crores, the region is poised to witness significant advancements in rail, road, petroleum, and natural gas sectors, bolstering connectivity and economic growth.
