Odisha, 5th May.  The two visits by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Odisha within the next week are aimed at supporting the BJP’s election campaign in the state.

In addition, senior BJP officials JP Nadda and others are expected to visit the state to unveil the party’s manifesto and encourage candidates campaigning for the next elections.

Leaders of the BJP state unit indicated that the prime minister will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Sunday night at approximately 9.30 p.m. and will end the night there. The following day, he would speak at two open rallies at Berhampur and Nabarangpur. In an effort to support BJP candidates, Modi will organize a massive roadshow in the state capital on May 10 and speak at a public gathering in Balangir the following day.

Vice-president of the BJP state unit Golak Mohapatra said that the Prime Minister’s visit will “give a new direction to the party’s campaigning in the state and also pave way for a positive change in the elections.”

“The next three days will be crucial for us as our national president JP Nadda will also visit the state on Sunday to release the party’s election manifesto here,” he stated.

With his recent ‘Odia Asmita’ comment in a TV interview, the prime minister himself took the lead in the saffron party’s intensified campaign against the BJD.

During their recent visit to the state, Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah also criticized the regional party, urging voters to overthrow the BJD government and elevate Odisha to the top of the nation.

In a similar vein, Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar urged the BJP to be supported in forming a state government that would collaborate closely with the Modi administration at the federal level to hasten Odisha’s growth and advancement during his media appearance here on Saturday.

Senior BJP figures, including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, are expected to campaign for the party’s candidates across the state, according to party sources.
