PM Modi’s Historic Visit to the United States; Here’s All You Need to Know

New York, 20th June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for his historic state visit to the United States on Tuesday. This will be his sixth visit to the United States since taking office in May 2014, but his first official state visit. The tour will go from June 20 to June 24, after which the prime minister will depart for another first-ever state visit to Egypt.

The PM will arrive in New York tomorrow at 8 a.m. to attend the International Yoga Day program at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, which was proposed by PM Modi ji and adopted by a special resolution in December 2014.

On World Yoga Day, Wednesday, the Prime Minister will host a yoga event at the UN building. He will address an audience of expat leaders from throughout the United States on Friday at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington.

Hundreds of Indian-Americans are converging in prominent locations around the United States, including Times Square in New York and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, to greet Prime Minister Modi.

On June 22nd, PM will be honored at the White House and will address joint sessions of the US Congress.

On the 23rd, there will be two key meetings of the Bhartiya diaspora in the United States. Following this, PM Modi will return to New Delhi after a two-day official visit to Cairo on June 24th and 25th.

Local television stations have made schedules to broadcast PM Modi’s speech from New York and Washington, DC.

Modi ji will stay at the Lotte New York Palace on Madison Avenue. This hotel has deployed enhanced security measures in view of PM Modi ji’s visit on June 20th and 21st. Today, a big number of members of the BJP’s Overseas Friends will greet PM Modi ji at the New York airport. Mr Krishna Reddy will lead this BJP workers team.

PM Modi will meet and greet all diaspora members of the Bhartiya group at the hotel.

At the hotel, special provisions for media facilities, including a media center, have been set up.

Several prominent people have expressed their excitement regarding PM Modi’s state visit. According to eminent NRI social worker Hema Virani, PM Modi’s visit will undoubtedly inspire people because of his passion and selflessness to his country.

Padamshri Dr Sudhir Parikh also expressed his joy and stated that they are looking forward to PM Modi’s visit.

According to Nanda Bhagi Shandilya, an eminent NRI entrepreneur, the business community is immensely enthusiastic for PM Modi’s visit due to his continual encouragement and commitment to growing businesses.
