President Murmu Attends Udyan Utsav 2024

President Droupadi Murmu attended the Udyan Utsav – I, 2024 on February 1, 2024.

Amrit Udyan will be open to the public from February 2 to March 31, 2024, excluding Mondays for maintenance.

Special categories will have access to the Udyan on specific days:

– February 22: Differently abled and visually challenged persons
– February 23: Personnel of defense, paramilitary, and police forces
– March 1: Women, tribals, and women SHGs
– March 5: Children from orphanages

Bookings can be made online at https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in or through Self Service Kiosks located outside Gate no. 35. Booking slots are free.

Visitors will enter and exit through Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, near the intersection of North Avenue Road and Rashtrapati Bhavan. A shuttle bus service will be available every 30 minutes between 9.30 am to 5.00 pm, transporting visitors from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 for convenience.

Visitors are allowed to bring mobile phones, electronic keys, purse/handbags, water bottles, and milk bottles for infants. Drinking water, toilets, and first aid/medical facilities will be available at various locations along the public route.

During the tour, visitors will encounter the following attractions:

– A 225-year-old Sheesham tree
– Bal Vatika: Tree-house, Babbling Brook, Nature’s classroom for children
– Theme Garden: 42,000 Tulips of 18 varieties
– Amrit Udyan Signature: An elevated, artistic garden signature for beautiful selfies
– Floral Clock: A stationary clock made of floral art
– Bonsai Garden: Over 300 Bonsais, some of which are decades old
– Musical Fountains: Fountains synchronized to classical Indian music
– Central Lawn: Landscape of rare and exotic flowers
– Long Garden: Elongated Rose Garden, Chhoti Narangi, and Hanging Gardens
– Circular Garden: Stepped landscape with circular symmetries
– Vertical Garden, Tray Garden, Gardens in Wheelbarrows, Zen Garden, Majestic Banyans
– Food court: Food stalls by TRIFED, ITDC, etc.

In addition to Amrit Udyan, visitors can also explore Rashtrapati Bhavan and Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum six days a week (Tuesday to Sunday). They can witness the Change-of-Guard Ceremony on Saturdays, except on Gazetted Holidays. More details are available at https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in.

During Udyan Utsav, school students can visit the Museum free of charge.
