President Murmu Pays Floral Tributes to Former President R Venkataraman on His Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, 4th Dec. President Droupadi Murmu on Monday paid floral tributes to R. Venkataraman, former President of India, on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Ramaswamy Venkataraman, born on December 4, 1910, was an Indian lawyer, activist, and politician. He served as the eighth President of India from 1987 to 1992.

Venkataraman passed away on January 27, 2009, at the age of 98, due to multiple organ failure caused by kidney disease. He died at a hospital in New Delhi.
