President Murmu to Visit Jharkhand and Odisha from Feb 28- March 2

President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a significant visit to Jharkhand and Odisha from February 28 to March 2, 2024.

On February 28, President Murmu will grace the 3rd convocation of the Central University of Jharkhand in Ranchi, symbolizing her commitment to education and academic excellence. Additionally, she will lay the foundation stone for the Central Government Holiday Home at Rairangpur, Odisha, while virtually inaugurating various road projects, a Sports Complex, and the Eklavya Model Residential School in Barsahi.

Continuing her itinerary on February 29, President Murmu will engage with the members of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) at Kadalibadi village in Gonasika, Keonjhar, highlighting her dedication to the welfare of marginalized communities. She will also inaugurate a national seminar on ‘Tribes of Keonjhar: People, Culture, and Heritage’ and address students at Dharanidhar University in Gambharia, Keonjhar. Concluding the day, she will grace the 53rd convocation of Utkal University in Bhubaneswar.

On March 1, President Murmu will extend her presence to the 25th convocation of Berhampur University at Bhanja Bihar, emphasizing the importance of higher education in regional development. Later in Cuttack, she will honor the golden jubilee celebration of Brahma Kumaris, Odisha, and witness a presentation of PM JANMAN by the Government of Odisha at Raj Bhavan, Bhubaneswar.

Wrapping up her visit on March 2, President Murmu will delve into the rich cultural heritage of Odisha by visiting various sites associated with Santha Kabi Bhima Bhoi in Sambalpur district. Additionally, she will engage with followers of the Mahima Cult at the Mini Stadium in Sambalpur, further strengthening bonds with the cultural fabric of the region.
